About Us

Composers need their rights protected and enhanced wherever possible. If the composer is to earn his living through his music creations, he must ensure he never loses the right to control those creations. The Copyright Act is basically a preventative act. It prevents people using the works of a composer and puts him in a position to decide on usage and to negotiate a fair royalty for such usage. The composer earns his living by receiving royalties from many varied sources throughout his lifetime and his heirs inherit those rights for a further 50 years from the end of the year of his death. It is of utmost importance that the composer is justly rewarded for the great pleasure and enjoyment he gives with the creation of his music.
